Abstract
Printed in Colomesius' "Vossii Epistolae" p.317
He rejoices in G's. most lifelike renderings of Hebrew poems (into
Greek apparently), welcomed also by scholars and for their bearing
in sacred studies. He thanks him warmly for this work; and also
deeply for his letter of condolence in his daughter's death; G's.
letter did much to comfort his wife especially, though the bitterness
of her grief keeps recurring. He speaks of his daughter as
the household's support, and as accomplished in languages and art.
He finds relief in burying himself in his work, and his "Idolatry"
is now being prepared for issue.
