Abstract

A bitter cry. The faith is under attack from Lutherans and Calvinists who have influenced the Duke of Geldria to make concessions. He begs Z. to advise them in this time of crisis. He cites the case they are taking up with the magistrates of Ruremond who have demanded a contribution of any arbitrary amount from one of our clergy. It is a long strongly worded indictment.
