Abstract

The way is clear for B. to proceed with his emendation of Josephus. He thanks B. for the book on the science of the Chinese. He has sent B. his history of Ethiopia and an interpretation of a passage in Genesis. He would like to see the catalogue of the Ethiopian MSS. in the Royal Library and enquires about Wanslebius' Lexicon. He refers to five Ethiopian MSS. in Oxford. He details many authorities which he is using for his history of Ethiopia and the Coptic Church with incidental remarks on the lines of the work.
