Abstract

Pleading old age and enfeeblement of powers he declares (in self vindication it seems) and calls distinguished persons to witness that he seeks to feed the flock entrusted to him with the genuine sacred fare obtained from the ancient catholic writers with all the vigour and care of which in his advanced age he is capable. He continues with a list of the theological and ecclesiastical subjects he is dealing with, e.g., original sin, monastic vows, the sacraments, etc.
