Abstract

He is delighted to have an introduction to a scholar of P's. eminence through J.E. Eerdewys, and relies on P's. promises to help his grandson Caspar Barlaeus, and consult in every respect for his benefit. He has written to several fellow citizens now in Amsterdam but had no reply yet. He would be exceedingly grateful to P. if he could get his grandson accepted at the Leyden school of theology.
