Abstract

Having heard through his envoy that Her Majesty has postponed a decision he urges on B. the importance of the affair (not specified but presumably relating to assistance for the Netherlands) not only as an assurance to us but for the peace of her Kingdom; and of not delaying and thereby jeopardising this country's affection and confidence and creating despair. Confident of goodwill on both sides he is sending M. de Famart with instructions to tell you everything, and he prays B. to use his prestige with the Queen to induce her to come to a sound and beneficial resolve.
