Abstract

Comenius writes his first letter to Mentzel this year because it is not easy to send a letter to his place. He is sending the letter through brother Lochar. He sends New Year’s wishes to Mentzel and the whole Church. Comenius had a good start into the new year. Schools are reforming for quite some time. These attempts go on well and the golden age promised by prophets is close. Comenius asks Mentzel to pray for his and others endeavour. J. V. Andreae brings lot of light and inspiration to Comenius. However the chief leader is Christ.
