Abstract

Though he is aware that the Queen is kept well informed by her ambassador, he confirms from Falkland the news of the treasonable assault at Holyrood House and asks her to spare none of the refugees who have crossed the border or "of your own lewd subjects as were induced to assist them in their foul deed". He calls to mind their mutual amity and prays her at this time to "send me that whole sum of annuity which I did the last year require of you".
